EPISODE 1 - SHARONS BACK  

A face from the past returns to Albert Square. Sharon is back, but she’s in a spot of bother and is in desperate need of some help. There really is no place like home for Walford’s original princess.

With Ian under the same roof as Ben, tensions are running high in the Mitchell household. Desperate to stop the truth emerging, Phil insists Ben and Jay do not to let Ian out of their sight. But their plan starts to fall apart when Ian opens up to Jean...

EPISODE 2 

Sharon begs Phil to help her get to her son Dennis. Keen to be Sharon’s knight in shining armour and despite Shirley’s protests, Phil agrees, and they speed off from Albert Square for a showdown.

Trying to take her mind off Phil leaving his engagement party to rescue his old flame, Shirley ends up talking to Denise - but she makes a horrifying discovery which could finally lead her to Heather’s killer...

EPISODE 3

It is a race against time for Phil and Sharon as they head off in search of Dennis. After an angry confrontation, Sharon thinks her nightmare may finally be coming to an end - but little does Phil know his is only just about to start...

Shirley is horrified by her discovery and desperate to find out the truth. As she pieces together the evidence it all points to one suspect...

Shirley tells a shocked Ben everything she knows and in desperation he lets slip a vital piece of information.

Phil, who has no choice but to help Ian, has no idea that everything is falling apart at home. Pleading for Ian to not reveal the truth about Ben, Phil thinks it may be a good idea for him to see Sharon - but what will she make of the state Ian is in?

The ramifications of Shirley’s discovery threaten to destroy the Mitchells forever. With her worst nightmare coming true, Shirley has to make a decision which will have huge consequences for them all...

Sharon attempts to build bridges between Ian and his family, but Lucy, worried about her and Bobby’s financial security, gives Ian an ultimatum.

Phil tries desperately to keep his family from falling apart - and has a glimmer of hope when, for once, a past Mitchell crime plays in his favour.

Tanya is not impressed when she arrives home to find a blonde stranger wearing her clothes. But while she and Sharon have got off on the wrong foot, Sharon has caught the eye of another Branning - so will she succumb to his charms?

The future of the Mitchells rests solely on Shirley - will she choose her family, or does she want justice for her best friend?

As reality kicks in, Sharon realises that she has to find somewhere to stay - but just as she is about to head to the B&B she is offered a roof over her head by one of Walford’s sexiest men...

Ian struggles to get used to the changes that have taken place within his family. Although he feels that Lucy is letting him back in, she sticks to her ultimatum for the sake of her and Bobby.

As news spreads of Ben and Jay’s involvement in Heather’s murder, Jay returns to the Square to face the wrath of the residents.

Sharon decides to give Ian and Lucy some space and looks for somewhere else to stay - but what will she do when she is offered a bed for the night from her admirer?

Tuesday 21th August

Jay is pushed to breaking point as the past catches up with him, and finds himself sleeping rough until an unlikely ally steps in to help.

It’s a day of reckoning for Shirley as she makes a decision that will change her life forever.

Noticing that Fatboy is being bullied at work, Alfie gives him some advice - but things don’t quite go to plan.

Thursday 23th August

Ian returns to the café and after a rocky start he has a breakthrough... until Phil puts pressure on him to help Ben.

When a seething Andrew finally comes face to face with Jay he is unable to contain his anger.

A game of spin-the-bottle leads to heartbreak for one couple and a budding new romance for another.

Friday 24th August

Under increasing pressure from Phil, Ian tries to decide on a course of action - but the decision is taken out of his hands.

Phil says a poignant goodbye to the person he truly loves.

Alice and Anthony finally arrange their first date, but things go awry when Anthony's promise of help is misinterpreted.

MONDAY 27TH AUGUST

Jay's spirits are lifted when he hears that Abi has returned to the Square, but it's a race against time to find her before her family reveal the truth about Heather's murder.

Meanwhile, Sharon realises that the lies she has told to protect her son are about to catch up with her, and she is forced to reconsider whether she can stay in Walford.

Elsewhere, Masood and Zainab settle in for a quiet afternoon together, but their alone time is soon interrupted when a familiar face shows up.

TUESDAY 28TH AUGUST

Fearful of the truth emerging, Sharon prepares to leave Walford - but some wise words from a surprising source make her reconsider her decision. Is it time for Sharon to stop running from the past?

Realising that Janine is struggling, Tanya offers her some advice - but unintentionally sends Janine's paranoia into overdrive.

Anthony finally plucks up the courage to ask Alice out, but will Joey's overprotective behaviour get in his way

THURSDAY 30TH AUGUST

A smitten Alice prepares for a night to remember with Anthony - as he finds himself out of his depth with Derek and Joey.

Ian is devastated when Lucy tells him that she is planning to let the stall out, but can Sharon change her mind?

Zainab is frustrated by AJ's carefree attitude over his crumbling marriage and takes matters into her own hands.

FRIDAY 31ST AUGUST

The Queen Vic is left in disarray when a fight breaks out, and Kat is left wondering if her secret has been exposed.

 Tanya and Sharon spend time together in the hope of building a new friendship between them and their sons - but punches are soon being thrown.

 Phil attempts to persuade a drunken Shirley to talk through their difficulties, leaving Alfie with an impossible decision.
